Fact: I feel downright sorry for myself sometimes (as in, a lot lately). And really, there’s not an excuse for that. My life, as messy and crazy as it often times, is good and full and blessed. I admit that my frustration and struggles are nine times out of ten directly related to giving in to the fatigue and to my own shortcomings. And I think of this verse:
“You were running the race so well. Who has held you back from following the truth?” Galatians 5:7
No one holds me back but myself . . . “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us
throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the
race marked out for us.” Hebrews 12:1
Whatever you’re going through, let’s keep on running. Pity parties are for the birds.
