Like many of you, the story of the miners in Chile has been incredible to watch. Inspiring. For a lot of people I suspect it’s been a source of joy in a world filled with so much sorrow. To see them come out into the light, embracing their families – emerging from months of darkness, I imagine it might feel a bit like coming back from death to life. I watched the “Miracle in the Mine” story on 20/20 tonight with Diane Sawyer and John Quioñes.
It was great. The video was amazing. The story was riveting. But really, God stole the show. The miners, Chile’s President, the guest doctor on 20/20 all confirmed that what kept them going was HOPE.
In Matthew 17:20 Jesus said, ” . . . if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.” A mountain got moved today. Is God good or what?!
And because I believe that life’s events deserve a great soundtrack, I am dedicating Kutlass’ song “What Faith Can Do” to the Chilean Miners. God Bless!
